Nintendo Remaking Legendary Zelda: Ocarina of Time For 3DS?
If that massive lineup of 70+ titles confirmed for the 3DS didn't win you finished, there's at least one gritty in development that wasn't listed: An apparent make over of the beloved 1998 The Legend of Zelda: Sweet potato of Time.
Originally today at the Nintendo E3 2010 press group discussion, the King-size N formally disclosed its 3DS hand-held. The most mind-boggling thing about the unimportant platform was its ability to deliver a sincere, glasses-free 3D experience (as experienced active by Escapist editor program Greg Josip Broz), but coming in a close second was its apparently-massive subroutine library of games.
Nintendo revealed a huge lineup of titles in development for the 3DS including big-appoint series like Metal Geared wheel Solid-state and Resident Evil as well as secondhand Nintendo classics like Kid Icarus, Star Flim-flam and PilotWings.
They appear to have missed same. And IT's cardinal hell of a doozy.
Hawk-eyed gamers saved screenshots on the Nintendo 3DS site that show what is unmistakably a accurate 3DS remake of the legendary Fable of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. This isn't but a port, either – it's gotten a graphical facelift as well, judging by what we can fancy of Link's decidedly-not-N64-esque face. And seeing as how Ocarina is frequently cited as one of the about beloved games of all time, this could be an incredible system-seller for the 3DS if it's very.
Now, seeing as how it hasn't been announced yet, it's assertable that this isn't actually a game, but sort o a mock-prepared tech demo to show what the game could look like on the 3DS hardware. If that's the instance, though, it'd be just cruel: Taunting fans with a modern remake of a beloved classic via a tech demo, only never to deliver? What kind of cruel, insensitive beast would do something like that?!
Ooh … awkward.
Representatives from The Dreamer's E3 Away Squad will be at the Nintendo Booth later this week. We'll see if we tooshie detect out more.
(Oh wait, guys, I just had an awesome idea: FF7 remake for the 3DS? Hell yes.)
(E3 Nintendo – thanks, Alai! More screens at 1UP.)
